9 Sunsets
Weaving , 25 x 25 cm each, 2023
For this ongoing project, I invite friends and colleagues to share with me a photograph they've taken of a moment that is both ordinary and extraordinary: a sunset.
Each image becomes the starting point for a woven piece — a way to hold, reinterpret, and share an experience. Through this process, I explore what it means to translate something ephemeral and personal into something tactile and shared. From a digital photograph to a hand-made textile, these works trace a journey between formats, between people, between forms of memory.
This project is as much about connecting with those around me as it is about understanding how images live — how they carry meaning, emotion, and time — and how they can be transformed through different languages of representation.
